This species are from Irian Jaya and is ovoviviparous. They are recognising by the black collared legs and they are a little bigger than the other species Tiliqua's. The Tiliqua's I have, are 47 cm. I keep them in a tank, upper side open and on the bottom much bark, where they can hide their selves. They do that eager. On one side of the tank I have a 40-Watt spot for bathing. At night is the average of temperature 18°Celsius. This spot burn from 8.00 in the morning, till 22.00 o'clock in the evening. The temperature of the room is 24°Celsius. Natural they can be shy. The best method is; let them in peace. I have the male and the female the whole year together and they do it good together. The 27th of Jule 1999 the female got 13 babies. By birthing they are rolled up in a membrane, witch quickly is broken. The baby Tiliqua eat the membrane and the placenta at on the stomach, hits his head with a snatch backwards, so that the umbilical cord has been broken and run away at the same time. Then he goes directly seeking for food and begins to eat. The juveniles grow up quickly. The young ones grow quickly. By birth they where 13cm long and 3 weeks later, they grown up to 20cm.
